Conditions and Terms of Lifetime Warranty

General Terms:

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the part and only as long as the part is installed in the vehicle for which it was originally purchased. The term of this warranty is for the lifetime of the vehicle in question.  The warranty is not transferable.  If any defect is discovered during the warranty period, Bow Auto Salvage, Inc. must be informed immediately.  All claims must be accompanied by the part and the original sales receipt.  Defects must be verified, and all work under this warranty authorized by Bow Auto Salvage, Inc.  Transportation costs of any part to Bow Auto Salvage, Inc. is specifically excluded from this warranty.  Any improper use, abuse (including but not limited to overheating or low oil in engines and transmissions), neglect, careless handling, damage done by improper installation or repairs, or removal of a part from a vehicle in which it was first installed after purchase from Bow Auto Salvage, Inc. shall void this warranty.  Failure to flush or replace coolers when necessary for transmission supplied by Bow Auto Salvage, Inc. will void this warranty.  Failure to follow instructions on installation tag supplied with the part will void this warranty.  Customer will have to establish compliance with all conditions herewith as a condition for any warranty claims.  Labor costs, including the cost of moving attached external parts from the purchaser’s old part to Bow Auto Salvage, Inc. part, including seals, gaskets, fluids and similar supplies are specifically excluded from this warranty.

The liability and obligation of Bow Auto Salvage, Inc. under this warranty shall not include any claims for damages or other claims not specifically set forth herein and shall specifically not include claims for personal injury, economic losses, any inconvenience, transportation, towing, down time, direct, indirect or consequential damages, or delay resulting from any defect.  This warranty is in lieu of any other warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.  No action by Bow Auto Salvage, Inc. under this warranty shall extend the original warranty period or alter its obligation.  This warranty shall be governed under New Hampshire law, and any action arising out of this warranty must be filed in the Merrimack County Superior Court, Concord, New Hampshire.

Engines:

Bow Auto Salvage, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser the internal parts of its engines to be free of defects for the lifetime of the vehicle in question.  The parts covered by this warranty are the engine block, cylinder head with valves, cam shaft, connecting rods and bearings, pistons, piston rings, oil pump, crank shaft and bearings, rocker arms and valve lifters.  Excluded from this warranty are the carburetor, fuel pump, water pump and all other cooling system components and hoses, all electrical parts, other hoses, lines, intake and exhaust manifold, fuel injector parts, timing chain or belts, all gaskets and seals, all other fuel injection parts, and all other external parts. Calibration and adjustment of excluded parts is also excluded from this warranty.  This warranty is void if new oil, oil filter, front and rear main seal are not used in installation and if oil and filter are not changed every 3000 miles which must be documented by customer.

Transmissions:

Bow Auto Salvage, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser its transmission to be free of defects for the lifetime of the vehicle in question.  The parts covered by this warranty are the transmission case and all internal parts including the torque converter.  Excluded from this warranty are the transmission mounts, shifting linkage, fly wheel, and all other external parts.  Problems that result from not installing new front and rear main seals and transmission filter when installing the transmission shall void this warranty.

Other Parts:

Bow Auto Salvage, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that recycled parts sold will be free of defects for the lifetime of the vehicle in question.  All parts that are not properly installed or maintained shall void this warranty.

Properly installed and refinished sheet metal parts are warranteed against rust-through and corrosion perforation for the lifetime of the vehicle in question.  This warranty is limited up to the amount of the original purchase price for said part.

Failure to follow all of the terms of the extended warranty shall void this warranty.

All warranties are non-transferable.  All claims on extended warranties must be authorized by Bow Auto Salvage, Inc. prior to any work being done.  Customer is responsible for establishing that it is has complied with all terms and conditions of the regular warranty and extended warranty requirements.

This warranty shall be governed under the laws of New Hampshire, and any cause of action arising from this warranty must be filed in the Merrimack County Superior Court, Concord, New Hampshire.
